Furniture Donation Pickup in Orange
It’s exciting when you spend time shopping for new furniture. It’s exciting for our veterans when they receive new furniture, too! When your new shipment is on its way, leave your old stuff at the front door, and we’ll leave something extra for you during pickup.
Leaving a tax receipt represents more than a means for reducing your taxable income with a deduction. It’s our way of saying thank you for offering to help our veterans in need. However, we do have a limit to what we can accept.
Sadly, we can’t carry sofas, mattresses, bed frames, and dining room sets back with us since each of our pickups involve a one-person job. What we can take, though, includes the following:
- Smaller parts of a bedroom set: Nightstands, vanities, and mirrors
- Accent pieces: Rugs, ottomans, frames, and other small pieces of furniture
- Other manageable pieces: Stools, swivel chairs, step ladders, storage or filing cabinets, and coffee tables

Clothing Donation Pickup in Orange
Spring cleaning can uncover all the old clothes you stuffed in the bottom of your drawer. From a not-so-flattering sweater gifted to you that you never wore to your old favorite jeans that are no longer in style, you can finally part with them.

- Children and newborn apparel: Clothing, clean diapers, blankets, and bibs
Our free donation pickup in Orange asks that you wash your clothing donations. Please make sure that any clothes with traces of blood, feces, urine, and other bodily fluids, as well as hazardous and flammable liquids, are scrubbed completely clean.
While clothing donations in proper condition are ideal for our veterans, we also invite you to donate ripped or worn clothes. We upcycle the products, use them as rags, or harvest the material for other uses.
Electronic Donation Pickup in Orange
There’s only so much use you can get out of your old phone once the new iPhone or Android drops in stores. If you do not trade or sell your previous phone, tablet, or Apple watch, consider gifting it to our veterans. Whether your device is brand new or used but in proper working condition, box it up, and we’ll be happy to pick up your donations right outside your home.

Unfortunately, we’re currently unable to accept larger appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, and washer/dryer combos. Since one driver is in charge of each donation pickup, household goods donations must be small enough for one person to maneuver. We also warn against donating broken electronics or appliances with missing pieces since they’ll prove useless to our veterans.

FAQS
Is there a limit to how much I can donate?
Since one person will be handling your pickup, we ask that you limit your donations to 20-25 boxes. However, feel free to schedule multiple pickups on different days if you have more to give.
What can I donate?
We accept any undamaged or working items small enough for one driver to carry without assistance. Please do not donate items requiring repairs or cleaning. For further understanding, visit our Acceptable Items page.
Can the driver move donations from my private property?
While the driver can collect any donations left at your house or building’s front door, visibly marked with NVF, they cannot enter your private property. Similarly, we won’t be able to collect boxes left by your garage, basement, or back door.
What if I live in an apartment?
Unfortunately, our driver cannot use interior stairs or elevators to reach any parcels left outside your apartment door. Instead, place your donations at the entrance of your building for easy pickup.
What if I live in a gated community?
If you live in a gated community, please create a guest code or warn your gate operator of our driver’s pickup date.
Do I need to be around for pickup?
No, you don’t need to be available once you mark your donations and leave them in an accessible spot.
Will you reach out again after setting the pickup date?
If you would like a pickup reminder, we’ll call or email you the day before so you can get things set up in advance.
What time will the driver be there?
While we can schedule an exact date for your pickup, we cannot guarantee a specific time. Our drivers are on random routes throughout the day, picking up all scheduled packages.
Do harsh weather conditions affect pickups?
Although some rare and extreme weather conditions may cause us to reschedule for safety reasons, we’ll be there through the average rain, sleet, and sun.
Can I donate damaged goods?
Electronics, appliances, household goods, and furniture should not arrive at our facility damaged, while beauty care products should be unused and unopened. However, we accept ripped clothing as long as it is unsoiled since the material is reusable.
