What are the steps to making a donation?
Once you’ve found clean and undamaged items to part with, place them in bags or boxes and mark them NFV. Next, schedule a pickup, and we’ll have a driver come by to get them.
How much can I give?
Although we appreciate your generosity, we have to limit your donations to 20-25 boxes or bags due to our single driver/mover. However, for larger donations, feel free to schedule multiple pickups on different days.
Do you accept all donations?
We accept almost anything that you may have to offer. However, we ask that you stray from packing broken items or soiled clothing. On the other hand, you’re welcome to send us damaged clothes, as we can use the material.
Will the driver come to my home?
Once you schedule a pickup, we’ll direct our driver to your residence to receive your package. Please leave your package at ground level outside your home’s front door and clearly marked so our driver can see it.
How do you pick up apartment donations?
Keep in mind that even with your permission, our driver cannot enter your building. Please leave your donations at the front exit of your building rather than at the door to your apartment.
How do you pick up donations from gated communities?
For our driver to access your gated community, please create a guess passcode for them or notify the gate security of our driver’s arrival. That will ensure an easy pickup process.
How do you pick up donations from storage facilities?
Unfortunately, we cannot pick up donations from storage facilities at this time. Please move your donations to an accessible pickup spot like your residential or commercial property.
How do I mark the donation for pickup?
When donating, please write “NFV” on each box or bag, which stands for the National Foundation of Veterans.
Do I have to be there for pickups?
We are happy to say that once you schedule your donation pickup time and leave your marked items out front for our driver, you don’t need to halt your life to wait for us. Get back to what you love, and we’ll take it from there.
Can you send me a reminder before the pickup?
If you’d like, we can send you an email, text, or phone call reminder one day prior to your scheduled pickup. That will ensure you get your items prepared ahead of time.
At what time can I expect the driver?
While we can’t tell exactly when our driver will pick up your package, as they have multiple packages to pick up each day, we can guarantee they will be there between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm.
Will the driver still make it if it rains?
Unless weather conditions prove dangerous, you can expect our driver at your front door as scheduled.
Will you charge me for multiple pickups?
